I've been thinking about this lately, names and how names have an effect as well as affect on we beings assigned to this form known as human.
I carry around with me this list of names; Persons which, while I would not use the word hate to describe how I feel, I have negative feelings toward.
The bad part about carrying around this list is when I run across a new person with that same name, I have to intentionally overcome any prejudice i may harbor.
So, who's on your list? I would like to know, and if you feel led please let us know why. First names only please.

Hm. Negative connotations with people's names. Let me think.
I dated a series of men with the same name. The last two were awful. I now cringe whenever I meet someone named Robert.
Beyond that, no others. I'm more predisposed to liking someone because of a name than disliking them.
Paul.
All Pauls are somehow psychologically imbalanced. At least that's my experience.
~ goes off hoping you are not called Paul ~
L: Like you I am predisposed to liking people. I pretty much take a "prove me wrong attitude" about liking them.
The boy's name Robert \r(o)-be-rt\ is pronounced RAH-bert. It is of Old German origin, and its meaning is "bright fame".
Probably the Roberts in your case have been somewhat narcissistic me thinks.
B: Interesting, here's what i found
The boy's name Paul \paul\ is pronounced pahl. It is of Latin origin, and its meaning is "small".
if we carry this thought forward, with your assertion then Paul means "small or weak" of mind (i.e. crazy, imbalanced)
BTW, my name IS Paul and I'm going to hunt you down, and follow you everywhere you go, and make your life totally miserable now.
Really it's not, just pulling your leg.

B & L : I will wait a couple more days then share my name(s) with you.
So as not to be thought as a plagiarizer or any such ilk, I found the name definations at Think Baby Names.
It is my experience that all women named Julia are mean and judgy.
Additionally, women who have my real name...usually I don't like them much either - hmmmm.
Kimberly
The girl's name Julia \j(u)-lia\ is pronounced joo-lee-AH, zhoo-lee-AH. It is of Latin origin, and its meaning is "youthful; Jove's child". Feminine form of Julius.
This was funny to be because well, we all know what happend to Julius Ceasar
Interesting there was not much to be found on your name, but here is what I found on WikiAnswers
