Shackism #12

I may not have burned any bridges in my lifetime, but I've charred the hell out of a few of them.

some bridges need a little...reimagining. :)

Despite my best efforts bridges sometimes get burned. As Helen implied, sometimes I light the match.

As long as you can still cross 'em or jump off 'em, that's all that counts.

Button: ty, i want you on my jury stand!

Andy: most of the time *I* have been the one to light the match.

L:as always your observations are astute. they still work and if you throw a little paint on them, they don't look too bad.

Helen: i saved you for last because to be honest, i wasn't sure what you meant by reimagining in this context.

a quick google led me to Wikipedia which talked about "remaking". I had to read down a little to get to the reimagining reference but this is what I found:

"Recently, the term 'reimagining' has become popular to describe remakes that do not closely follow the original. The term is used by creators in the marketing of films and television shows to inform audiences that the new product is not the same as the old."

I know I am getting rather philosophical about this but hell, it's 2:15 in the AM so WTF...

anyway, my philosophical observation about your statement is yea after a little charring the bridges (i.e. relationship) might not be all that pretty, but with a little bit of work some good and functionality can be derived from them.

is that what you were saying helen? am i close to snatching the pebble from your hand yet?

Everyone:
OH from past experience if any of you do need to burn a bridge. diesel fuel is better to use than gasoline as an accelerator. it is a little harder to ignite, but 1. is safer to work with and 2. it simply burns better.

yeah i got a true funny story to go with that, but maybe another time.
