Shackism #9

You can never love anyone until you learn to love yourself.

I'm not sure that's true, I think you can love but I do think that until you love yourself no one else can really love you.

Very good point. I can't argue with that point.

I think that's partially true. But as Aurore said, I think if you don't love yourself, you're actively (subconsciously) working at convincing people *not* to love you.

Feeling one is worthy of love is the first step in openly receiving it. For who wants to be told they're wrong in loving another?

Ms. putting it that way makes sense as well.

I suppose the bottom line, in terms of "self-love" (giggle giggle), it is a lit easier to be loved if you love yourself.

I have been working on the self love... In more ways than one ;)

Have you heard the saying that when you fall in love with someone, you are really falling in love with yourself? I can't remember the logic on that one . But then... I am sick and on decongestants and champagne ;)

Naughty: I hope it's okay I just call you naughty, but no I had not heard that saying. It does make sense though... I might modify it a bit and say you fall in love with some of the qualities you appreciate or like in the other person and would like to have for yourself.

enjoy your champagne... I'm finally feeling normal after being sick a couple weeks ago.
